This drug is prescribed for prevention and treatment of parasitic worm infestation caused by roundworms, tapeworms and hookworms.

And the active ingredient contained in this solution is praziquantel and pyrantel pamoate.

The praziquantel and pyrantel pamoate act based on selective effects on the metabolism and neuromuscular activity of the parasites.

It’s not necessary to use laxatives or place your pooch on preliminary fasting before administration.

How to use:

Before giving this medication to your pooch, shake the bottle with the suspension thoroughly for 20-30 seconds…

And simply fill the syringe dispenser with the required amount of the liquid…

Then carefully dispense into your dog’s mouth – this shouldn’t be any trouble for you because this medication has a sweet taste.

For treatment purposes, this Apicenna® Praziquantel Dewormer suspension should be administered according to your vet’s advice.

Most times when administering this drug to your dog, it’s important to consider it’s body weight, and administer 1 ml per 1kg weight.

In situations of a heavy worm infestation, you may be recommended to repeat this treatment after 10 days.

For preventive purposes, your dog should be dewormed in the above dose on a quarterly basis.

Contraindications:

Do not use this drug on your pregnant dog in the first half of pregnancy…

Also, do not administer simultaneously with anthelmintic drugs containing piperazine.

Storage:

You can store this medication at room temperature, it doesn’t require refrigeration or other special handling.
