Active Ingredient

Mechanism of action:

Albendazole works by degenerating the tegument and intestinal cells of the worm by diminishing its energy production, which leads to immobilization and death of the parasite.

 

This drug alters the ability of worms to take up glucose so the glycogen stores of the parasites become depleted and they die off.
